Each MICRON library is meticulously crafted around a specific genre, mood, or application. We’re talking laser-focused sonic palettes that nail the sound you’re after, whether it’s the suspenseful atmosphere for your next thriller, the driving pulse of a rock anthem, or the intricate layers of a modern electronic arrangement.

Loop-Based: These libraries are built around rhythmic and melodic loops.

Guitar arrangements & evolving textures: THREADS 1

THREADS 1 weaves together guitars into flowing patterns that shimmer, pulse, and resonate. Built from performances on electric solid body, baritone and semiacoustic guitars, the loops carry a spirit that is both cinematic and intimate. Major performances shine with uplift and inspiration, while minor ones lean into pensive, dramatic moods. Always ambient, always reverberant, the textures invite reflection and movement, whether in film, post-rock, or spacious sound design.

Inspiring and Moving.

Like other MICRON libraries, THREADS 1 uses the 4-layer XY engine, allowing loops to blend and shift into complex textures. Convolution reverb and spatial design give each loop width and depth, so they sit immediately in a cinematic mix. Major and minor variations can be triggered by velocity, turning the same performance into two emotional directions: uplifting or dramatic.

Guitars Woven Into Atmospheres.

The performances are shaped from carefully chosen guitars and techniques:

PRS Solid Body – clear, articulate tones

Jazzmaster Baritone – deep, resonant foundations

Gretsch White Dove – warm semi-acoustic presence

Styles span ambient, post-rock, and inspirational loops: chordal beds, arpeggios, riffs, melodies, and rhythmic phrases. Techniques such as finger-style, plectrum playing, harmonics, tapping, slides, and hammer-ons are woven directly into the loops, creating natural, evolving performances.

Built For:

Ambient and post-rock soundscapes
Cinematic underscore and film scoring
Inspirational and uplifting themes
Pensive, dramatic moods in minor keys
Wide, shimmering guitar atmospheres
Adding rhythmic movement through arpeggios and riffs
Layered textures that evolve and breathe

Rhythmic Exploration

The intuitive loop sequencer empowers deep creative control: edit individual steps, mangle existing sequences, and reorder elements to forge entirely new rhythmic patterns. Transform these building blocks into your own unique soundtrack through original editing and inspiring randomization features.
With the Multi-layers system, each of the four layers can hold up to eight loop sources, giving you as many as 32 variations in a single patch.
8 Scene Memories store and recall different setups, so you can shift instantly from restrained pulses to full-force ensembles.

Variations and Harmony

The tonal loops in THREADS 1 are available in both major and minor modes, responding naturally to your playing dynamics. With the 8 Scene Memories, you can store and recall different layer setups, moving smoothly between moods and textures. This makes it easy to build evolving sequences, subtle shifts, or dramatic contrasts. By choosing which layers to bring forward and when, you can shape performances that feel spontaneous, dynamic, and alive with variation.

CPU on older systems: The instrument performs real-time crossfades for smooth transitions. On some older CPUs or specific audio interfaces, Kontakt’s CPU meter can appear elevated even at moderate voice counts. This is expected engine behavior and not a fault in the library. It is recommended to use this instruments in a more capable CPU System with audio buffer set to max 192/256 samples.

Features:

  1. Kontakt Library (5.8.1 or above)
  2. It requires Kontakt's full retail version. It will not work with the free Kontakt Player. Sounds And Presets Installation requires the PULSE DOWNLOADER
  3. features include the XY pad for crossfading, individual volume, sound selection, mute/solo buttons, waveform display, and per-layer controls for pan, pitch, attack, release, low-pass/high-pass filters, sample start, “dirt” (saturation/compression/distortion), delay, and convolution reverb with over 150 impulse responses. Master controls for portamento and randomization are also universally present. All XY libraries also offer a separate output option for each of the four layers
  4. Time Signature Manipulation: The “Beatbase” control allows for changing the denominator of the time signature, enabling unusual rhythms (e.g., 7/4, 7/8).
  5. Slice Editing: Users can randomize and edit the order of slices within each loop, creating new rhythmic patterns.
  6. Pitch Lock: Layers can be set to ignore incoming key presses, allowing their pitch to remain constant while other layers change with played notes.
  7. and much more...
